Sonic yin & mindfulness

This 2 hrs Sonic Yin & mindfulness workshop is designed to bring you on a journey and to invite the mindfulness of stilness into your whole being.

We will begin with a Yin yoga practice to open up the physical body and to unpeel layers of stress and tighteness.

We will work through the muscles, joints, and the connective tissue; there will also be a focus on effects from a TCM (Traditional Chinese medicine) point of view and how these shapes stimulate the meridian lines and organs of the body.

Resting in Savasana will be the time to receive the sound part of the session, and let the frequencies from the gong, crystal bowls, chimes, and other instruments to move through you, bringing you deeper into meditative state, allowing for deep rest, and rejuvenation.

Yin yoga Friday’s

Fiona's approach to Yin is based on Chinese medicine, working with the meridians in the body, with the external seasons & cyclical nature of being human to enhance our bodies innate wisdom.

Yin yoga is a practice of being with sensation in your body, responding to that sensation with your breath to find more space on physical, mental & emotional levels. To cultivate a deeper awareness of those sensations & how we respond to them. Yin creates a deep stretch within the physical body, the muscles & the fascia (connective tissue).

Allowing time to be with your body, breath & mind, all interconnected as one. Bringing these same responses out into your everyday life.

The nature of Yin yoga & holding postures/shapes for 3-5 minutes gives you space to connect with what is present for you.

Bringing you a state of reflection, mindfulness & rest. Allowing your nervous system to settle, re- calibrate & filling your cup.

Everyone is welcome. We will use props to support your body. Always lot's of variations/options

 A very warm welcome.

Life can get messy sometimes and everything can feel like it’s out of our control  or overwhelming. Having some tools can help to bring you back to equanimity by  making space to fill up your cup, building love for yourself and making a  commitment to move forward - even if it is one step a day (that’s a whole 365 in a  year’s time).

Yoga, meditation, sound, and learning how to focus on my breathing have all been  such amazing parts of my own process. I feel very grateful for my journey so far and I would be honoured to share these tools with you to help make positive, conscious changes in your life.

My name is Fiona and I create and hold sacred space to help you slow down and connect deeply to your true essence through yoga, breathing and sound.

I'm happily based in Wicklow, Ireland after ten years of living in London… I love being connected to nature nature, hiking in the mountains, having a dip in the sea, walking barefoot on the beach and looking at the moon and stars in the night sky.

As a deep thinker my interest in spirituality has always existed in some form. I have been a lover of all things self-help for a long time and an avid yogini for over a decade now. After going through a difficult period with depression and anxiety, yoga helped me feel grounded and gave me a focus.

My growing fascination with the profound effects these practices can have on your mind- body connection and the states you can reach by incorporating them into your life is so exciting.

I hope to be able to give to you and assist you on your journey in the way that I have received from my wonderful teachers. That would make me very happy. I would love to be part of your journey.

What I Do

I create and hold sacred space to encourage you to slow down and connect deeply to the true essence by being still, taking time to just be and reflect by using conscious awareness through yoga, breathing and sound.

When we take time to slow down and listen we can hear our deep inner knowing telling us exactly what we need moment to moment. If we were to think of time as space, the space between when something starts and something finishes, that is where the healing lies.

If we can learn to melt into that space and cultivate stillness then all expectations fall away, the ego cannot exist and instead of us chasing experiences, we experience being present, deeply knowing you are enough and that every part of you is always welcomed.

The light does not exist without the shadow. Knowing that anything that comes up is there to be looked at with compassion and love so you can move towards healing old traumas that are holding you back. Then you can make space for new patterns and behaviours in a gentle and kind way that will serve you.

Be patient with yourself on your journey, you have come so far already. Just wait for what is to come.

“Sometimes the road can seem long and we can’t see what is around the corner. But that’s life, the road is filled with light and shadows and we have to take one step at a time, being exactly where we are. Knowing that if we trust in the process there will be light again waiting somewhere along the way”
